In the last of the second-round voting

Carlos Alberto’s legendary goal from the 1970 World Cup final easily beat Romário’s volley against Mexico in 1997, but in a major upset, it only got 93% of the vote!

Careca’s opener against France in the 1986 World Cup garnered 83% of the vote over Marta’s equalizer against the US in the 2014 Torneio Internacional de Futebol Femenino.

In a closer contest, Edmilson’s bicycle kick against Costa Rica in 2002 earned 61% of the vote over David Luiz’ free kick against Colombia in 2014, which became the highest-seeded goal to be knocked out so far.

Marta’s other legendary goal against the United States, the one in 2007, continues to march on, this time dispatching Bebeto’s 1989 volley against Argentina with 68% of the vote.

And now…

TODAY’S VOTING

The first round-of-16 matchup pits Ronaldinho’s first goal for Brazil in the 1999 Copa América group stage…

…against Neymar’s volley opening the scoring in the 2013 Confederations Cup.

Matchup number two forces us to choose between two legendary World Cup solo goals. The higher seed is Josimar’s effort from the Round of 16 against Poland in 1986 (more replay angles here)…

…the lower seed is Pelé’s goal from Brazil’s first game in 1962 against Mexico. (For those on mobile, go to the 0:39 mark.)

The next choice is between two iconic goals that need no introduction. Here’s that Roberto Carlos free kick from the 1997 Le Tournoi again…

…and here’s Bebeto’s no-look goal and cradle-rocking celebration from the 1994 World Cup quarterfinal against the Netherlands. (The full video is here.)

Lastly, we have a tough one: Pelé’s legendary goal from the 1958 World Cup final (full video here)…

…against Ronaldinho’s legendary goal from the 2002 quarterfinal. (Here’s a version with higher quality but without the amazing Mexican commentary.)

Let’s try and have this round of voting done by Saturday night.
