Welcome to the Brazil World Cup Blog.  First launched almost 15 years ago, the site has gone through many changes since then.  One thing that hasn’t changed is that this remains the single best English-language site on the web for friendly discussion about the Brazil National Team.

Black Matt

Black Matt is the site’s owner.  Matt has written for the site since 2011, and formally took over in 2013.  A professional writer by trade, Matt doesn’t write as much for the site nowadays, but still contributes the occasional article.  Around here, he’s most known for his strong opinions on ultra-attacking full-backs (against) and playing Neymar in the center (for).  Talk to him about the importance of off-ball movement and you’ll make a life-long friend.  

Zetona

Zetona began contributing to the site in 2015-16 and is now the site’s main writer.  You can read more of his stuff at www.doctorcontent.com. 

Okay, so where is all your content?

Great question!  In December of 2018, the site went down, and we lost years of content, including analysis on two World Cups, multiple Copas, and articles on classic Brazil matches and players.  Black Matt will re-post those articles as time permits, but for now, we hope you’ll stick around and share your opinions!
